Coronavirus update for First Eucharist 2020
Letter from Fr. John: March 18, 2020
Dear Parents and Guardians of our First Eucharist students,
I have been carefully monitoring the latest Diocesan, Township and State directives and guidelines regarding measures to minimize transmission of the virus. Based on that information, we have suspended all public Masses and most other liturgical events until at least April 3rd at which time the Diocese will reassess the health threat situation.
Our First Eucharist Masses are a time of great joy for both families and the parish. As such, they typically generate large crowds who wish to observe and share in the celebration with the children. So, to minimize the possibility of transmission of the virus and to provide you an opportunity to make changes for your family plans, I am postponing the First Eucharist Masses scheduled for April 25th. We will reschedule the Masses as soon as it is prudent to do so. In the interim, if you have any questions please call Deacon Chris at the Religious Education office, (908) 874-8604 or me at the Parish Office, (908) 874-8220.
Besides monitoring the status of this pandemic and the recommended steps to deal with it, I will continue to pray to Our Lord, the great healer, to provide us all relief from this terrible health threat. I ask you to do the same.
See you in the Eucharist,
Fr. John
