Relief efforts to assist those in need - finacially, physically, spiritually, emotionally and any other way that is needed. This is most obvious when disasters such as hurricanes, floods or other tragic events happen, but can also include family tragedies such as the loss of a home, as well as missionary efforts throughout the world.
How would you like to do something completely different, adventurous, helpful? Something that shows you how to live your faith in Jesus in a very different way!
This year Mary, Mother of God Church will be participating with St. Joseph’s Church in traveling to the Wayne County Work Camp in Dunlow, West Virginia.
Periodically a parishioner may have an immediate need for food, clothing, or other necessity. To respond to these immediate needs, parishioners are asked to donate gift cards or money to the Parish office. In turn, our pastor distributes these donations to families as needs arise.
Donations can be gift cards for grocery stores, restaurants, department stores or other retail establishments. Cash can be donated in the weekly offering basket by inserting in a plain envelope and marking "Families in Need" on the outside.
