Fr. Sean Broderick, (in residence), was born in Co. Clare, Ireland and is a member of the Congregation of the Holy Spirit, a missionary congregation. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree and Higher Diploma in Education U.C.D. and U.C.C.
Fr. Sean was ordained in 1965 and appointed to the Nigerian mission, where he served for five turbulent years in the course of a civil war. He worked in a Parish and High School in the Owerri diocese but spent most of his time with refugees and starving children during the course of the war. At the end of the war in 1970, he was reappointed to Rockwell College, an Irish International High School, as Principal and President until his retirement in 2003.
Fr. Sean came to the United States on sabbatical to minister with Msgr. Liam MInogue at Mary, Mother of God; finding Parish life very rewarding. When Msgr. Liam died in March 2007, Fr. Sean was asked by the bishop to be the Administrator of the Parish.
