Preschool (3 yrs) and Pre-K (4 yrs)

At Mary Mother of God Preschool, we provide a warm, inviting, and fun environment for children to grow, learn and explore.  We welcome families of all faiths as we teach that we are all children of God and to embrace and love who we are.



Our program is designed to promote intellectual, emotional, spiritual, and social growth.  The curriculum includes a balance of teacher and child lead activities.  While we do build age-appropriate educational materials into each day, we also believe children learn invaluably from play.  




Therefore, we also have time allocated for arts & crafts, creative expression through our various centers in the classroom, and music. Opportunities for movement and physical activity are available each day, both in the classroom, gym, and outdoors (weather
permitting).

At Mary, Mother of God Kindergarten Enrichment we strive to provide children and families of all faiths with a quality program that is rich in academic, play and faith-based activities. 

The program is designed to enhance each kindergartner’s school experience with a balanced curriculum that is organized into themes, seasons, and holidays. This also includes religion, science, reading, writing, math, music, and creative arts.

Children learn best through play and social interaction. We provide hands-on, interactive learning to promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Our small class size allows us to work independently with students, giving each student an opportunity to excel at his or her own pace while working toward their maximum potential. 

Our classroom sets the tone for learning with a well maintained and spacious area, developmentally appropriate materials, and a warm and welcoming staff.
Our priority is to create an environment where students can explore, thrive, and develop a positive self-image. 

Our classroom is a place that provides comfort and feels like home and Mary, Mother of God Kindergarten Enrichment wants our families to feel a part of our school family.

Curriculum Overview

The Kindergarten Enrichment class includes the following lessons and concepts of learning:

• Practical skills – developing independence, self-help skills, and school readiness.
• Social and Emotional skills – reinforcing a good self-image, sharing and cooperating with groups
• Cognitive skills – pre-math: counting, sorting, shapes, sequencing, opposites, ordinals, numerals, addition, and subtraction.
• Language skills – Letter recognition and sounds, reading, rhyming, writing, expanding vocabulary, story comprehension and recall, and group discussions.
• Fine and Gross Motor skills – Letter and number formation, improving coordination and balance.
• Music, Movement, and Art – building confidence and self-expression. 
• Sensory – hands on, interactive activities, problem solving, exploration, and science concepts.
