The participants of the Children’s Liturgy of the Word are committed to spreading and living God’s message of love with and through our children.
Liturgy of the Word for Children are held Sundays from September - May at the 10:30am Mass except for: The Sundays of Labor Day and Memorial Day weekends, the Sunday between Christmas Day and New Year's Day, and Easter Sunday. When New Year's Day falls on a Saturday, there will be no Liturgy of the Word for Children on January 2.
Children's Liturgy of the Word is held every Sunday at the 10:30 am Mass. Children between the ages of 4 and 10 are invited to participate. Prior to the 10:30 am Mass, a parent should register their child between 10:10-10:25 am at the Children's Liturgy table in the Gathering Space upon entering the church. The child, or a volunteer will write their name on a name tag and then proceed into Mass with their parents.
Just before the start of the Liturgy during Mass, participating children are called up to the altar where the Celebrant shares the topic of that week's Gospel with them. The children then follow the liturgists upstairs to the Chapel. Masks are now optional for everyone in Children's Liturgy of the Word. We will continue to try to practice social distancing, however our numbers have been increasing, so social distancing may not always be possible. For 15-20 minutes, they learn about that week's Gospel at a level that is easily understood by them. Each child receives an age-appropriate Children's Worship Bulletin filled with activities that relate to that week's Gospel. Following the Creed and Prayers of the Faithful, the children are reunited with their parents at Mass. During the following week, an email is sent to the child's parents reviewing the topic that was discussed during the Children's Liturgy.
7th and 8th grade students may receive service hours for assisting the Children's Liturgists with the children before and during the Children's Liturgy of the Word. Click here for more information.

Babysitting is no longer available: Please read below
Dear Parishioners,
Over the course of many years the Babysitting Ministry, has provided a service to parents, so that they could enjoy mass together. We have noticed, over the last few months that entire families have been attending Mass together and that this service to parents, is no longer needed, in its present form.
We will now be transitioning this ministry to families. The weekend of December 18th will be the last day for the present babysitting service.
Beginning the weekend of December 25th, the Babysitting Ministry will maintain an “Emergency Toy Chest”, for parents to take advantage of;
if your child needs to walk around in the Gathering space and you do not have a toy to please them.
There will also be disinfectant wipes in the container, to clean the toys, after they are used, and returned to the container.
Thank you in advance, for helping us to keep everyone safe.
Please note that Children’s Liturgy will still be available, for Children ages 4 through 10, at the 10:30 Mass.
Thank you to all the adults, who have provided their love, time and commitment every year, to our parish’s little ones.
Thank you also to the many teens, who have volunteered numerous times every year, for service hours and even afterwards.
May God continue to Bless all of you, our parishioners, the parents and all of our little ones !!
