1,000 Hail Marys
The Rosary of the 1,000 Hail Marys
This segment of our “Spiritual Life" honors the Parish’s patroness, Mary, Mother of God, and asks her intercession as we pray for the intentions of our Parish family via her rosary. In those prayers we also include:
— Pope Francis
— health and holiness of all priests
— the Pro-Life Movement
— souls in Purgatory
— the sick of our Parish
— immigrants to the United States
— Christians undergoing persecution throughout the world
— world peace.
Requests for intentions should be deposited in the BOX OF PETITIONS located in the Gathering Space of the Church and in our chapel.
How We Pray the Rosary
We meditate on each decade of the four groups of the Mysteries of the rosary:
- 5 Joyful, 5 Sorrowful, 5 Glorious, 5 Luminous.
Each group of mysteries, e.g., the Joyful Mysteries, consists of 1 Our Father, 50 Hail Marys, and
1 Glory Be to the Father.
All 20 mysteries are prayed by the group members each month.
Meeting Time and Place
Our meeting to pray the 1,000 Hail Marys is on the first Saturday of every month in the room below the Chapel at 8:30 AM until early afternoon. We encourage our parishioners to join us. You are most welcome even if you participate part of the time.
